SMOKIN' ACES

we just watched SMOKIN' ACES for the first time. more flash than actual story, if you ask me. sure, there's a vague outline of a story somewhere in there, probably lost in all the mobsters & the guns & the blood & fucking ALICIA KEYS. there wasn't enough character development, & maybe I'm asking too much from a movie like that, but a little bit would've been nice. JEREMY PIVEN almost made up for it, though... the man is gorgeous. there were some pretty sweet hitmen, too. lots of chandaliers being smashed with chainsaws, sniper rifles, ridiculous hotel suites, impostors, velvet bathrobes, hookers... how can I really be complaining? the one thing that couldn't be redeemed: RYAN REYNOLDS. I cannot take that guy seriously. he actually managed to be one of the main characters, too... whose brilliant idea was that? the kid tries too hard.

passive aggressive

I suppose my intro post can be INTRO-ducing you all to a hilarious website called passive aggressive notes (you can find the link for this to the right in my little "clicky" list). as my mom has found out from experience, you could probably spend hours on this site & stay fully & happily entertained. although I myself could spend hours on LOTS of sites & stay entertained, but we won't go into that. it's one of those sites where I'm thinking to myself "damn, why couldn't I have thought of that?". it's literally just a grouping of letters & notes that people send in that are so god damn hilarious because they're such roundabout ways of getting your point across. you should really check it out.

now I am off to a day at work that will most likely resemble hell, if hell was filled with pompous, arrogant people & lots of pies that I can't eat & delicious food that I can't afford to buy & tons of freezing coolers that I am forced to be in for 8 hours straight, which I'm guessing is pretty close to the real thing. the one thing making these few bastard days worth it? THANKSGIVING :D
