DEATH PROOF

God I cannot say enough good things about this movie. Written & directed by none other than the amazing QUENTIN TARANTINO, this film was part of Tarentino's double-feature with ROBERT RODRIGUEZ dubbed Grindhouse (paired with PLANET TERROR, which I have yet to see). It features such talent as KURT RUSSELL, ROSARIO DAWSON, VANESSA FERLITO, ROSE MCGOWAN & SYDNEY POITIER. It was just a feast for the eyes. Quentin has yet to make a movie that I won't enjoy, so I wasn't SURPRISED by this movie per-say, but it was just awesome. Russell plays a badass obscure stuntman who also enjoys stalking & killing groups of young girls with his death-proof stunt car. He is just AWESOME. At the same time that you think he's a raging asshole, you also want to hang out with him & listen to his stories. The two groups of girls were so captivating that you wish you were part of them. They just exude sexiness, confidence & danger. Everything from the way the movie was shot, the dialogue, the color scheme, the MUSIC oh good lord the music, the way Tarantino so obviously draws inspiration from some of the hardcore stunt movies from the 60's & 70's.... so great. SEE IT, NOW.
